Purpose and Aim:

To prepare and construct a basic flower arrangement.


The learner will: The learner can:
1.  Be able to prepare for tasks.
1.1 Identify, locate and prepare the following items for task; floristry scissors, suitable container, plastic foam, pot, tape.
1.2 Select appropriate flowers and foliage for specified task.
1.3 Soak foam correctly before use.
1.4 Prepare container with foam for specified task.
2.  Be able to construct a basic flower arrangement.
2.1 Construct one of the following basic flower arrangements: posy, triangle, line, diamond.
2.2 Clean the flower stems, cut and insert securely into the foam.
2.3 Mist arrangement with water.
2.4 Maintain safe and tidy work environment.
3.  Be able to tidy work area.
3.1 Return unused materials to appropriate location.
3.2 Clear work area, sweep floor and dispose of rubbish.
